Mentorship Program

The AAACC mentorship program connects classicists of different professional stages and trajectories to create mutually beneficial professional relationships as well as to foster a more interconnected and supportive community. The mission of the mentorship program is to promote the professional and personal growth of classicists who identify as Asian (Asian, Asian American, East Asian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander, mixed-heritage, etc.) and to contribute to the diversification of the field.

How it works

The AAACC mentorship program runs annually. At the beginning of each academic semester year (early September), mentors and mentees will be matched based on your completed applications. Mentors and mentees are expected to connect (whether in person or virtually) at least twice a semester, with the first meeting including goals and expectations setting.  Overall, the program is flexible and is meant to be designed by each mentor and mentee pair. There are no qualifications to be either a mentor or a mentee.

The sign-up period for the 2023/2024 mentorship program is currently open!
